Patriots Acquire QB Cam Newton

After suspicion and waiting, Bill Belichick does it again. Cam Newton just signed a one-year deal with the New England Patriots. Personally, I couldn't be more thrilled about this acquisition! As the role of QB is a thing of question for the Pats after Brady leaving, Newton is going to provide a much needed energy boost to the offense. I haven't seen Stidham play much, so I've been worried about his ability to fill Brady's big shoes. As a result, I'm glad that, for this first time in 20 years, the Patriots will have a QB that can actually run the ball.

Now, Newton's play time depends on his health and whether there will be an NFL season due to the coronavirus pandemic. I am hopeful for the return of sports and Newton's health. I can't wait to see the touchdowns that Newton is going to throw to Edelman. This might be a new unstoppable duo in the making. No Brady, no problem! This should be fun! Go Pats!
